The temperatures are still quite warm in my area so it's hard for me to say that fall is in the air. But, it's definitely on my mind! I can't wait for the colder weather, changing leaves, and pumpkins galore. And, let's not forget fall baking! I've been collecting recipes, and there are so many new things I want to try this year.
While I don't get a lot of trick-or-treaters at my house, I do make a lot of Halloween cookies for local events. Since I am in the middle of detailing my schedule for the next couple of months, it seems like a good time to decide how I will decorate those cookies. This week's hot list* is surely going to inspire because we're taking an early peek at the currently top-trending Halloween cookies. Some are newly posted; others are blasts from the past, but all are spook-tacular! Let the fun begin!

#3: Pumpkins and Roses by Evelindecora (The sparkly pumpkins in this elegant blast-from-the-past set look magical, and the pumpkin "cupcakes" are equally yummy. Always outstanding, @Evelindecora!)
#4: Friday the 13th by Shannon Orr (This set is so cleanly piped, which is kind of amazing considering all of the blood! Terrific work, @Shannon Orr!)
#5: Carved Pumpkin by Tina at Sugar Wishes (There is so much depth and interesting color on this guy. He really makes me smile, @Tina at Sugar Wishes!)
#6: Halloween Doll Cookie by Evelindecora (This beauty, another oldie from the Cookie Connection archives, is the second creation by @Evelindecora to be featured this week. Kudos!)
#7: Mixed Media Bat by Donna Sullivan (There's so much texture on this stunner - which was quite the astounding debut post by @Donna Sullivan back in October 2023! If a bat can be beautiful, this one surely is!)
#8: My Autumn Pumpkin on Isomalt by Edyta Kołodziej (This beauty would look just as good hanging against a sunlit window as it would on a plate. Nicely done, @Edyta Kołodziej.)

How was that for a reminder of all the fun to be had over the next couple of months? These cookies certainly got my creative juices flowing! Now I just need to get to work.
