Happy holidays, everyone! I hope by now that your Christmas baking and decorating are beginning to wind down, and that you're able to kick back and partake of the holiday festivities.
Speaking of festivities, one of my favorites is our annual Yankee Gift Swap - you know, the game where guests bring wrapped gifts, tumble them all into a big bag or box, and then draw numbers to determine their picking order (pun intended). But there's a twist - each person has the option of keeping the gift s/he drew or stealing from someone who's already picked. Sometimes the game can get pretty unruly (read: fun), especially when there's a dud gift that everyone's trying to ditch (like the tacky, glitter-flecked re-gifted Santa candle that I brought last year). But, more often than not, one person's trash is another's treasure, and everything evens out in the end. Of course, having a little bourbon-spiked egg nog on hand is always useful for soothing any sore losers! 
So . . . seeing as I'm a huge grab bag fan, I thought I'd bring you a special cookie version of one via this week's Spotlight. Instead of featuring the top-trending cookies as I normally do, I'm throwing convention to the wind! What you'll find below is a hand-selected "grab bag" of ten Christmas cookies, all posted last week, that, for one reason or another, particularly caught my eye. If I had to choose one to swap for another, I couldn't, as each is an undeniable treasure.
