I don't know about you, but the work that I put into Christmas preps is always at the last minute, and the energy I expend is often off the charts. I put together this year's tablescape - below - just the day before Christmas because I spent nearly the entire two weeks prior doing a deep house cleaning. (BTW, I only do such cleaning about once a year (!) so you can imagine the monumental amount of filth buildup that I encountered!)
Not surprisingly, I am wiped out by the time Christmas Day is over (this year has been no exception). All I want to do is curl up in a ball under a comfy blanket and admire my Christmas decorations without lifting a finger for another two weeks. But instead, I spy my early bird-neighbors already pulling down their evergreens and lights, which only heightens my usual post-Christmas malaise. Why can't they linger in the joy and beauty of the season just a little bit longer - at least for my sake?! LOL.
Well, if they can't, I know you will, which is why I promptly jumped over to this site as soon as my mood turned south. To borrow a popular line from the world's most famous Christmas poem , "When, what to my wondering eyes should appear . . ."? It wasn't a miniature sleigh and eight tiny reindeer, I'll grant you that, but it was something equally magical: an ongoing profusion of festive Christmas cookies in our Hot Spot lists*! Woo hoo! I thank you all for allowing the magic of Christmas to linger here on Cookie Connection - it's just the salve that my after-Christmas soul desperately needed.
Now let's revive our collective Christmas spirit, and, together, take a look at this week's top-trending cookies, all of which are Christmas-themed! But first, a special congrats to @Susie Jacobs for the cover image. I selected her project, which she made with her husband, because it conveys one of the things about Christmas that is most important to me - sharing time and creating memories with loved ones. It's obviously an impressive project to boot. Also, kudos to both @Evelindecora and @Heather Bruce Sosa for being recognized two times this week for their fabulous creations, and to @Treatfairy and @Bożena Aleksandrow for being honored two weeks in a row for their stunning sets.
Now, onward and upward . . .

And that's a wrap for this week! I can't wait to see your New Year's cookies, so be sure to post them before next week! Also, don't forget that Challenge #58 with Delorse Sword (aka @Delorse) is ongoing. The entry deadline is mid-January, so you still have plenty of time to contribute. @Manu biscotti decorati, Delorse, and I can't wait to see all of your lovely challenge bows!
And, last but not least, just a little post-Christmas pick-me-up from me to you - in case you're like me and also need one! 😀 I have two sales running right now, but the last day for one of them (20% off stencils with themes ranging from New Year's Eve to St. Patrick's Day) is December 30, so you'll need to act pretty fast if you want to capture those savings! The details for both sales are behind the first link. Enjoy, and have a happy entry into 2025!
So that no one has an unfair advantage in making it onto a hot list, the algorithm is secret even to site administrators. Only our platform developers know the code, which has been exhaustively tested by those developers and Cookie Connection staff.
