[EDITOR'S NOTE: So sorry for the delayed posting. Lisa had this Spotlight teed up way ahead of time, so the fault is all mine. My competition had me running nonstop last weekend, and then I woke up with a case of vertigo this morn that had me knocked out until just recently. Fortunately, my room is no longer spinning around me, and I can get back to doing the cookie things I love! Onward! ~JMU]
The change of any season is an inspirational time. For me, the transition from winter to spring is particularly so. There is so much new growth, the dormant begins to waken, and ideas for new projects abound. One week and a few days of sunshine can be transformative. It's fitting that the cookies on our hot list* this week are varied, creative, and bursting with inspiration.
#1: Easter Cookies by Gingerland (This adorable set is full of techniques, and @Gingerland's flawless piping makes the white so striking. What a stunning cover image it is!)
#2: Spring Picnic in Paris by Vero (Very Vero) (This romantic set transports us to Paris and marks the first Saturday Spotlight for @Vero (Very Vero). Special congrats!)
#3: Baby Cookies by Art of Cookies (Another adorable set featuring so many fun techniques, and one which also marks @Art of Cookies' Saturday Spotlight debut!)
#4: Birthday Cookies - RIP 20s Party by Art of Cookies (Congrats again to @Art of Cookies for a second creative set in this week's Spotlight.)
#5: When Life Gives You a Rainy Day, Play in the Puddles! by The Vintage Cookie Jar (So darn cute, plus great advice to live by!)
#6: Easter Minis by Vero (Very Vero) (This set is Vero's second appearance in this week's Spotlight. Congratulations again!)
#7: Easter Wreath by Ewa Kiszowara Moje Pierniki (I love the presentation of this beautiful set.)
#8: Gallinero Pascua - View #1 by Ester y sus galletas (This springtime house is absolutely delightful. You can also catch it from a few different angles in the "Clips" section of the site.)
#9: A Flower For You! by EAC (The latest addition to Watch-Learn-Create Challenge #53, this beauty was inspired by another Cookie Connection member's work. That's why this place is called Cookie Connection after all!)
#10: Tic Tac Toe Easter by Dani Matos (This set is so clever - both a cookie and a game!)
How's that for inspiration?! In case you need more, I highly recommend this year's Cookie-A-Thon. There are so many interesting demos and instructors - including a class by @Julia M. Usher and at least 89 other prerecorded tutorials. My schedule did not allow me to participate in the live event, but I am so looking forward to watching the recordings as I have time. [EDITOR'S NOTE: And you too can watch them for up to a year if you purchase an All-Access Pass using my affiliate link. The price has gone up now that the live event is over, but it averages about $2.85 per tutorial, which is still a most exceptional deal! ~JMU] Additionally, remember that we have master class instruction by @Laura Saporiti through April 8 in Watch-Learn-Create Challenge #53, hosted by @Manu biscotti decorati. In this challenge, you get to watch a free 2-hour painting video by Laura, plus a chance to try her techniques and win another online class with her.
Congratulations to all who have been spotlighted and everyone who has continued to inspire us. Keep it coming!
So that no one has an unfair advantage in making it onto a hot list, the algorithm is secret even to site administrators. Only our platform developers know the code, which has been exhaustively tested by those developers and Cookie Connection staff.
