[EDITOR'S NOTE: My bad again! @LisaF had this post all ready to roll for Saturday, but by the time my video shoot concluded - at midnight on Saturday night (!) - all I wanted to do was sit down and chill out with a glass of wine! I apologize for the tardy posting, but the cookies in this Spotlight are a delight and well worth the wait! Lisa will be posting again next week while I am at SoFlo Cake & Candy Expo, and, as a heads-up, that post may also arrive on Sunday. Have a great week! ~ JMU]
This week we are featuring cookies that have color and sparkle, and a few that are even out of this world! Because last week's Saturday Spotlight was the much anticipated Watch-Learn-Create Challenge #53 recap (if you haven't checked it out, I encourage you to do so!), I decided to combine the hot list* from this week and last week. There were several gems in the week between that I wanted to make sure we honored. The combination has provided us with a delightful blend of cookie inspiration.
#1: Mother's Day Cookies by Peg Redman (Unbearably cute! @Peg Redman has given us an adorable reminder of the upcoming holiday!)
#2: It's a Boy by Vero (Very Vero) (The shades of blue used by @Vero (Very Vero) are absolutely divine.)
#3: Space Cookies by Art of Cookies (@Art of Cookies created such a fun take on the space theme. I particularly like the space balloons.)
#4: Funny Guitars! by Di Art Sweets (The "cartooning" of these cookies really makes this set rock! Very fun, @Di Art Sweets!)
#5: Girlie 21st Birthday by Cajun Home Sweets (This set is a celebration of color and sparkle. Well done, @Cajun Home Sweets!)
#6: Colorful Easter by Skilful Cook (Though it may be Easter-inspired, this set by @Skilful Cook is so full of joy that it can be celebrated at any time!)
#7: A Little Afternoon Tea? by kns93 (This beautiful set by @kns93, posted in 2020, shows how something so well done can continue to trend!)
#8: Kaleidoscope by Manu (As is the case with so much of @Manu biscotti decorati's work, this post continues to trend - after six years! It is one of my favorites and absolutely hypnotic.)
#9: Easter Bunny by Cookie Boutique (Easter may be over, but this set by @Cookie Boutique still brings plenty to smile about.)
#10: Stained Glass Rabbits by Zeena (@Zeena transformed these bunnies with a clever use of the stained glass technique. Great work.)
How's that for a creative blend of color, technique, and inspiration?! I think this list hits all the right notes for springtime celebrations. Congratulations to everyone featured. I will be back next week and can't wait to see what you post!
So that no one has an unfair advantage in making it onto a hot list, the algorithm is secret even to site administrators. Only our platform developers know the code, which has been exhaustively tested by those developers and Cookie Connection staff.
