Many ideas but had to limit for one entry due to lockdown routine; a 3D straw hat using brush embroidery technique. One thing I wanted to experiment here is how it looks like brush embroidery on a 3D cookie, here you go.

Tried to use brush embroidery technique for all areas of the creation.

Baked circle and contour shaped cookie using gingerbread cookie dough. Thanks Julia, @Julia M. Usher I referred to your gingerbread cookie dough and 3D construction cookie video as usual.( https://youtu.be/yiFqM0bEmTY )

Cookie size = 22.5 cm diameter circle cookie.

First, I flooded a big circle and 3D contour shaped cookies using beige colour RI.

Then using the same coloured RI, brush embroidered on the circle shaped cookie by using a flat brush to get Straw hat weave effect. Same method used to cover contour shaped cookie.

Attached cookies together to get the hat shape. After that brush embroidered maroon colour ribbon around the neck of the hat.

Made RI transfers flower petals, leaves and butterfly separately.

Curved flower petals inspired by Manuโ€™s water Lily tutorial https://cookieconnection.julia...d-lily-pad-transfers. ) Also referred to Julia's dogwood cookie video.https://www.youtube.com/watch?...sOqZ42HCY&t=624s&nbsp ) Thank you both Manu @Manu biscotti decorati and Julia @Julia M. Usher once again. โค

Before removing all RI transfers from acetate brush embroidered and kept sometime for drying. Once all dried, I attached separate components to create flowers.

Brush embroidered on the butterfly wings by using black and blue RI. Then attached the wings to the body. Followed some tips from the Aproned artist butterfly tutorial, thank you Samantha. @Aproned Artist https://cookieconnection.julia...fly-in-flight-cookie&nbsp ) โค

It was so much fun. Also a wonderful opportunity to learn more creations using brush embroidery technique.

Thank you both Julia @Julia M. Usher and Christine @Sweet Prodigy for another wonderful Challenge.

Oh Kanchana, this is sooo lovely!   This is such a great idea to make a straw hat using brush embroidery!   This means we can make cookies of anything made with straw, you give us a great idea.    You make me noticed that yes we also have many things made of straw, such as tatami mat, well that's not fancy at all, though.

I was wondering when you were going to post your cookie for this challenge and you made this prettiest straw hat.  I love Challenge here because many cookiers give me super ideas that I would never notice.

Thank you for kind words dear Ryoko @Ryoko ~Cookie Ave. โคYour comment is encouraging me so much. Glad to hear that you have been waiting to see mine. ๐Ÿ˜ฎYes, I do agree. Can get so many new ideas from each and every PRB challenge and from amazing artists.

Oh wow!!!! This is an excellent presentation, dear Kanch! I love all the  details you put into it, so many precise steps so meticulously arranged while learning from great teachers. The outcome couldnโ€™t be better. Absolutely beautiful!โ™ฅ๏ธ

It was difficult during planning but as you mentioned. Learning from great teachers I could able to come up with a good output. Thank you for the encouraging comment dear Heather. @Heather Bruce Sosa โค

The technique and texture of your brush embroidery leave no doubt that this is a straw hat. And an incredibly realistic one at that. It was also clever how you reimagined a different way to create the flowers and butterfly. I also applaud you for those intact butterfly antennae.

Thank you so much dear Christine @Sweet Prodigy.  โคI haven't use Brush embroidery much on cookies before but after the PBP challenge, realized that it can be applied in many ways. Thank you for encouraging us to think innovative. Regarding the butterfly antennae this is my first time I was also nervous at the beginning but later it came out well. ๐Ÿ™‚

Great idea. I tried brush embroidery on 3D pinwheel cookies but was not successful. I didn't have time to try again but I think brush embroidery will work well for 3D cookies which you've proved here. Here your piece is beautiful looks exactly like the ones sold in Kanyakumari.

Thank you so much dear Joanna @Joanna ManuelโคYes, looks like it worked but when I was doing it I was also not that sure till I see the final outcome.
It's nice to know that straw hats are popular in India and other part of the would too.
