In a mere two weeks, the kiddos will be traipsing through our neighborhoods, in full goblin and ghost garb, in quest of Halloween sweets. I realize that we (sadly, IMO) live in a time when the most trusted treats are store-bought, individually wrapped, generic mass-produced candies. But . . . there's no reason we can't surprise (or even startle!) those we know and love with distinctive Halloween treats in the form of jaw-droppingly boo-tiful cookies, right?!
